Philippe Danigo

Born in Brittany – France.
He is a Master of Science from the University of Brest with a specialty in Aquaculture
From 1981 to 1993 he worked with the French company France Aquaculture subsidiary of the IFREMER.
He participate to the development of shrimp farming for seven years in Ecuador and three years in Colombia. At the same time he provided services for international organizations such as FAO, the World Bank in Latin America, Africa and the
Asian development Bank.
In 1993 he founded the Sol Azul Company dedicated to the production of oyster in the Peninsula of Baja California / Mexico.
Today Sol Azul is the first national exporter of farmed oyster in Mexico, reaching a production of 800 tons in 2018.
Its main market is the West Coast of the United States and since 2016 Sol Azul expands its presence on the national market.
In 2002, he founded the Marimex del Pacifico Company in order to develop the technique of cultivating the scallop lion's paw. After several attempts the project is abandoned and in 2012 Marimex starts the operation of an oyster seed hatchery in the technological park of Biohelis at Cibnor in La Paz, reaching the production of 50 M of seeds in 2018.
