Nina Pardo Antunez de Mayolo

Nina has extensive advocacy, strategic planning, marketing, communications, and public relations experience in the business and environmental sectors.
She is known for her ability to build bridges and establish dialogue amongst different stakeholders to achieve a common vision and goals.
Nina is founder and president of H2Oceanos, dedicated to the conservation of aquatic biodiversity and promotion of sustainable fisheries and tourism.
She was an instrumental player in the recent designation by the Peruvian government of “The Traditional Knowledge and Practices associated with Sailing and Fishing in Artisanal Sailing Boats in the Cabo Blanco and El Ñuro fishing villages” as a Cultural Heritage of Peru.
She is currently the Technical Secretary of the Commission for the Implementation of the Safeguards Plan of this National Heritage.
Nina has successfully advocated for the legal protection of cetaceans in Peru, the creation of marine protected areas, such as the National Reserve System of Guano Islands and Islets and National Park Yaguas, and the designation of the Tropical Pacific Sea of Peru as a hot spot by Mission Blue.
She is currently a sectorial member, representing the Private and Productive Sector of the Consultative Committee of Experts (CCE) of the Inter-American Convention for the Protection and Conservation of Sea Turtles (CIT) and a consultant for the Environmental Defense Fund in its Oceans Program of Peru.
She has worked at the Andes Amazon Fund, Conservation International, International Finance Corporation of the World Bank Group, Peru’s Exports and Tourism Promotion Board (PROMPERÚ), and the World Wildlife Fund, amongst others.
Nina studied Business Administration at Pacific University in Lima and received an MBA at American University in Washington, DC.
