Gaspar Román Poot López

He has a degree in Biology from the Intituto Tecnologico de Chetumal.
Master of Science in Marine Biology and Doctor of Marine Sciences from CINVESTAV-Merida.
He was recognized by Aquaculture Best Student Paper during the IIFET Vietnam 2008.
Since 2010, he is a Research Professor at the Universidad Autonoma de Yucatan.
He is a member of the National System of Researchers. He has experience in Aquaculture, Aquaculture Bio-economics and Fishery Biology.
He was responsible for the Aquaculture section of Diagnosis and Guiding Plan for Sustainable Fisheries and Aquaculture of Yucatan.
His research includes the analysis of resources such as tilapia, octopus, shrimps, blue crab, sea cucumber and puffer fish.
