Jesús Zendejas H.

Graduate since 1981, specialized in Hydrobiology, from the UAM University in Mexico. He joined the Ministry of Fishery during the same year, as the leader in the tilapia fish farms, at El Rodeo, Morelos, Mexico, in charge of the national program for tilapia hybridization. In 1984 he obtained his master´s degree in Aquaculture Nutrition from Sterling University, Scotland. In 1985 he became Chief Director of Nutrition and Aquaculture Health in the Ministry of Fishery.
In 1988 he joined Ralston Purina Inc., to develop a food portfolio for aquaculture in Mexico. In the year 2001 he was promoted to R&D Management in Aquaculture, and two years later he took on the Marketing Management. He was part of the global team of R&D in Aquaculture, position he maintained when the company was purchased by Cargill in 2001. Once in Cargill, in addition to his role in aquaculture nutrition, he collaborated with the development and assessment of alternative ingredients, as responsible of design and follow-up of research essays, both in Universities, as well as in commercial farms, fitting them out for the usage of global knowledge, in the development of regional solutions in aquaculture nutrition for Latin America.
From 2015 to 2017 he was Regional Manager of Technology Application in Aquaculture, with responsibilities from Mexico to Ecuador. In September 2018, when the construction of the Technology Application Center in Ecuador was cancelled, he left Cargill. From January 2019 to this day, he is Director of “Zendejas Aquafeed & Ingredients Consultant”, offering assessment to Menon Renewable Products regarding sustainable ingredients use; as well as to vertically integrated companies, such as Alimentos Oromar, in Sinaloa, Mexico, NAQUA, in Saudi Arabia, Growel in India, etc.
