Iván Greco

He is 37 years old and is a Project Implementation Lead in Chile for Future of Fish. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics (UBA) and a Master’s in Sustainable Development (Uppsala, Sweden), and has worked together with communities with violated rights in urban and rural areas in South America.
Iván has participated in government teams in Argentina, helping to create environmental projects in territories of great socio-environmental vulnerability, such as the shantytowns of Buenos Aires. His work with fisheries in Chile began in 2014, by investigating socio-environmental conflicts and power asymmetries between artisanal fishermen and industrial corporations in the Central North and Central South of the country. He is currently collaborating with Future of Fish, coordinating efforts to generate greater autonomy in the commercialization of marine resources in artisanal fishing communities in Chile.
